Qualification

General Stream

  • Master’s degree or recognised two-year postgraduate diploma in any discipline; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or Engineering; or
  • ACA/FCA, ACS/FCS, ACMA/FCMA or CFA from the respective recognised professional body.

Research Stream

  • Master’s degree or recognised two-year postgraduate diploma in a specified Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics or related discipline; or
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics with a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or a related subject.

Actuary Stream

  • Graduation from a recognised university or institution.
  • Pass or exemption in all seven Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India examination.

Official Language—Rajbhasha Stream

  • Master’s degree in Hindi or Hindi Translation with English at bachelor’s level; or
  • Master’s degree in Sanskrit, English, Economics or Commerce with Hindi at bachelor’s level; or
  • Master’s degrees in both English and Hindi or Hindi Translation.

Candidates must be computer-literate and conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel. The qualification reference date is 31 July 2026.

Experience

No separate previous-employment period is prescribed. Candidates must possess the stream-specific academic or professional qualification. Final-result-awaiting candidates may participate, but appointment is subject to producing proof of qualification within the time allowed by PFRDA.

Selection Process

  3. Separate paper-wise and aggregate cut-off assessment
  4. Phase II online examination
  5. Shortlisting of candidates up to five times the vacancy count for interview
  6. Phase III interview in Hindi or English
  7. Original-document and eligibility verification
  8. Final merit based on Phase II and interview marks
  9. Character, antecedent and medical verification
  10. Appointment and two-year probation
Phase I marks are used only for shortlisting. Final selection gives 85% weight to Phase II and 15% weight to the interview.

  2. Check the vacancy, qualification, age and reservation requirements for the chosen stream.
  3. Open the official online application portal.
  4. Select “Click Here for New Registration.”
  5. Enter the candidate’s name, contact details and email address.
  6. Save the generated provisional registration number and password.
  7. Complete the personal, category, qualification and examination-centre details.
  8. Upload the prescribed photograph, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration.
  9. Preview and verify every field before completing registration.
  10. Pay ₹1,000 online unless exempted.
  11. Submit a separate application and fee when applying for a second eligible stream.
  12. Complete submission by 24 September 2026.
  13. Download the application and e-receipt for future reference.
