Eligibility Criteria
A postgraduate qualification in Management, Public Administration, Defence Studies, Security Studies, Engineering or an allied discipline will be an advantage. Candidates should have a consistently good academic record.
Post-qualification experience in security, intelligence, vigilance, examination operations, large-event management or critical-infrastructure protection.
Experience at a senior leadership level in a relevant security or examination-operations role.
Age will be considered as on the last date. Relaxation may be considered for exceptional candidates with strong relevant backgrounds.

Desirable Experience
- Armed Forces, paramilitary, police, intelligence or investigation-agency experience.
- Large-scale examination security, question-paper logistics, strong-room management, biometric protocols and post-exam forensics.
- Security-sensitive Government or public-sector work such as elections, banknote printing or critical-infrastructure protection.
- Knowledge of CCTV command centres, biometric systems, AI-based anomaly detection and the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
Salary and Job Responsibilities
- Lead the complete security process for confidential question papers.
- Operate NTA’s Live Operations Command Centre during examinations.
- Monitor CCTV, biometric authentication, location data and real-time incident dashboards.
- Coordinate centre security, observers, flying squads, police and other agencies.
- Lead incident response, evidence preservation and post-examination security analysis.
- Develop security manuals, operating procedures, audit trails and staff training.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on qualification, experience and suitability.
- Personal interview before the Selection Committee.
- A presentation on NTA test-security strategy may be required.
- Comprehensive background verification before appointment.
