Qualification Summary
- Qualifications vary by post code and include B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc. and M.Sc. Tech in specified disciplines.
- Relevant fields include Civil Engineering, Agriculture, Remote Sensing and GIS, Geoinformatics, Geology, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Atmospheric Science, Oceanography and allied subjects.

Monthly Emoluments
Five-percent increment every two years, subject to performance review.
May increase to ₹42,000 as SRF after two years and successful review.
Application Fee
The fee is refundable to eligible Women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates only after satisfying the eligibility conditions and participating in the selection process. No refund is considered if the candidate does not attend the interview.
Selection Process and Tenure
- NRSC will screen applications and shortlist candidates using the notified eligibility and any additional shortlisting criteria it considers necessary.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview; call letters will be sent by email.
- The positions are initially for one year and may be extended according to project validity and performance.
- JRF and Research Scientist tenure may extend up to five years or until the project ends, whichever is earlier.
Documents to Upload
- Recent colour photograph and clear signature in the prescribed size and format.
- Class 10 certificate for date-of-birth proof and Intermediate/Diploma records.
- Graduation, post-graduation and doctoral certificates with mark sheets, as applicable.
- GATE/NET or equivalent qualifying proof for JRF30–JRF35.
- Applicable SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen certificate for fee refund and category claims.
How to Apply
Posting Locations
Selected candidates will generally work at NRSC facilities in Hyderabad or Shadnagar. Certain posts are identified for RRSC North, New Delhi, and RRSC South, Bengaluru. Appointment also carries liability for posting at other NRSC campuses or anywhere in India under ISRO/Department of Space.
