Associate Professor Eligibility
- Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline.
- At least eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic or research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
- The experience may be in a university, college, accredited research institution or industry.
- A minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- A total research score of 75 according to the criteria prescribed in the UGC Regulations, 2018.

Contract Period
Teaching Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Supervise student assignments, submissions and theses when required.
- Evaluate students through examinations, presentations and assignments.
Research and Policy Responsibilities
- Design and expand the research agenda of the HAL Chair.
- Publish research in academic journals, books and media platforms.
- Develop research proposals and grant applications.
- Organise guest lectures, public talks and panel discussions.
- Develop training programmes in contracts, dispute resolution and negotiations with reference to the defence sector.
- Conceptualise and organise an annual conference on defence-sector laws.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and contribute to policy and reform dialogues.
