Qualification

Candidates were required to possess one of the following qualifications as of 1 April 2026:

  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Applied Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Econometrics, Informatics or a related branch; or
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics or a related branch; or
  • Four-year bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Applied Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Econometrics, Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics or a related branch.

For eligible SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the prescribed minimum is 50% when the vacancy is reserved for the applicable category.

Experience

No common previous-employment period is compulsory for DSIM applicants satisfying the essential qualification. Research or teaching experience and publications in standard journals are treated as additional qualifications.

Eligible research or teaching experience at a recognised Indian or foreign university or institute can provide upper-age relaxation equal to the completed experience, subject to a maximum of three years and the notification conditions.

How to Check the Result and Submit Documents

  1. Open the official RBI DSIM Phase-II result page.
  2. Download the official shortlisted-roll-number PDF.
  3. Search the PDF using the Phase-II roll number.
  4. If shortlisted, download and complete the official RBI biodata form.
  5. Scan the completed biodata as one separate A4-size PDF.
  6. Arrange all other self-certified certificates in the order specified by RBI and scan them into one additional PDF.
  7. Ensure the total email and attachment size does not exceed 10 MB.
  8. Send the two PDFs from the registered email address to documentsrbisb@rbi.org.in.
  9. Use the email subject: “Registration Number - Name of Candidate – Recruitment of Officers in Grade B (DR) – DSIM Cadre – PY 2026”.
  10. Complete the submission by 10 September 2026.
