Vacancy Details

Position Code 01 — Project Associate-I One position

The number of positions may change according to project requirements at the time of interview.

Salary or Stipend

Project Associate-I — Position Codes 01 and 02 ₹31,000 per month plus HRA for candidates qualifying under category “a”; or ₹25,000 per month plus HRA for category “b”
Project Associate-II — Position Code 03 ₹35,000 per month plus HRA for candidates qualifying under category “a”; or ₹28,000 per month plus HRA for category “b”
Senior Project Associate — Position Code 04 ₹42,000 per month plus HRA

Category “a” covers candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC, ICAR or ICMR-NET, including Lectureship or Assistant Professorship, GATE, or an equivalent national-level examination conducted by a Central Government department or agency. Other eligible candidates fall under category “b”.

HRA is payable only when institutional accommodation is not provided or availed.

Age Limit

Project Associate-I Maximum 35 years
Project Associate-II Maximum 35 years
Senior Project Associate Maximum 40 years

Age will be calculated as of the application deadline. Relaxation is available under applicable Government of India rules.

Qualification

Position Code 01 — Project Associate-I B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology, or M.Sc in Computer Applications, from a recognised university.
Position Code 02 — Project Associate-I Master’s or integrated master’s degree in Science, or bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology, from a recognised university.
Position Code 03 — Project Associate-II Master’s or integrated master’s degree in Science, or bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology, with two years of prescribed relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s or integrated master’s degree in Engineering and Technology.
Position Code 04 — Senior Project Associate Master’s or integrated master’s degree in Science, or bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology, with three years of prescribed relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s or integrated master’s degree in Engineering and Technology; or a doctoral degree in Science or equivalent with two years of prescribed research and development experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Position Code 01 Managing collaborative science-education tools, creating and managing virtual science content, and knowledge of games, animation and simulation development.
Position Code 02 Science education, hands-on science workshops, educational-content development, research summaries and facilitation of student-scientist interactions.
Position Code 03 Advanced content writing, scientific documentation and coordination of scientific activities, including laboratory visits and workshops.
Position Code 04 Planning and conducting laboratory visits, student-scientist interactions, scientific workshops or camps, along with team management and compliance.

Contract Tenure

The initial engagement will be for one year or until the project’s duration, whichever is earlier. It may be extended or curtailed according to project requirements and the selected candidate’s performance or conduct. The current project duration is up to 31 March 2031.

The total engagement across CSIR laboratories cannot exceed six years. The posts do not provide any right to permanent appointment or absorption in CSIR-IIIM or CSIR.
