Vacancy and Salary Details

Educational Qualification

Qualification Option 1

B.Sc in Life Sciences or Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology with one year of working experience in a clinical or research laboratory.

Or

Qualification Option 2

Class 12 pass in the Science stream with a two-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and two years of working experience in a clinical or research laboratory.

The qualification or degree should be obtained from a reputed institution or university. Candidates must attach supporting certificates with the application.

Desirable Experience and Preference

• A minimum of three years of work experience after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification is desirable.
• Preference may be given to candidates with laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques.
• Experience in immunology is desirable.
• Experience in cell-culture biology is desirable.
• Knowledge of computer applications is preferred.
• Relevant experience must be supported by an experience certificate.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in research work, including sample collection and sample processing.
• Maintain laboratory equipment.
• Maintain research records and laboratory upkeep.
• Coordinate with the Multidisciplinary Research Unit and associated departments.
• Carry out work assigned by the Nodal Officer from time to time.
• Undertake field visits, training or laboratory visits when required.
