Qualification and Eligibility
- The applicant should be literate.
- The applicant should be a former drug user with one to two years of sobriety.
- The applicant must be willing to work among the drug-using population.
- Good communication skills are required.
- The applicant must agree to refrain from using, buying or selling drugs.
- The applicant must be ready to work for the prevention of harmful drug use and relapse.
Medical and Supporting Evidence
- Consent or supporting certification obtained from a Government hospital.
- Opinion of the treating doctor.
- Patient’s OP or IP record with relevant investigations.
- Communication ability to counsel alcohol-dependent patients who have received medical treatment.
Important: The eligibility is specialised and intended for a recovering former drug user. Applicants should ensure that their sobriety and medical-treatment records satisfy the official requirements.
