Educational Qualification
- 1Mechanical Engineering: Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or Technology, with 4 years of relevant R&D experience.
- 2Civil Engineering: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant R&D experience, or Master’s/Integrated Master’s with 2 years of relevant experience.
- 3Electronics & Communication: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant R&D experience, or Master’s/Integrated Master’s with 2 years of relevant experience.
- 4Physics: Master’s/Integrated Master’s with 3 years of relevant R&D experience, or a doctoral degree in Physics with 2 years of relevant experience.
- 5Chemistry: Doctoral degree in Chemistry with 4 years of relevant R&D experience.
Desirable for all positions: Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (PGDIPR) or Patent Agent qualification.
Age Limit & Relaxation
- ✓Project Scientist (PS-I): maximum 35 years.
- ✓Project Associate–Senior PAT: maximum 40 years.
- ✓SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates: 5 years’ relaxation; OBC candidates: 3 years’ relaxation, subject to Government rules.

- ✓Original certificates and testimonials for verification.
- ✓One set of self-attested copies supporting age, qualification, marks and experience.
- ✓Two copies of attested photographs.
- ✓Separate application for each position if applying for more than one post.
Selection & Contract
- ✓Selection will consider academic records and performance in a test and/or interview.
- ✓The engagement is temporary, time-bound and contractual, initially up to 31 March 2027.
- ✓Final-semester and result-awaited candidates are not eligible. No TA/DA will be paid.
