📢 CRITICAL UPDATES ON MERIT PREPARATION

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) is currently finalizing the TNEA 2026 rank list. With the random numbers already assigned, students are now awaiting the official publication of the merit list, which determines the order of counseling.

📊 How is the Rank List Calculated?

The TNEA rank list is based on a 200-mark scale. The breakdown is as follows:

Mathematics: 100 Marks
Physics: 50 Marks
Chemistry: 50 Marks

🔍 The Tie-Breaking Process

If two or more candidates have the same total marks, the following criteria are used in order:

Percentage of marks in Mathematics.
Percentage of marks in Physics.
Percentage of marks in Optional Subject (if applicable).
Date of Birth (Senior candidate preferred).
Random Number (The higher random number wins the tie-break).
