Category I is mainly for students currently studying in the 3rd or 4th year / pre-final or final year of an eligible Bachelor's Degree programme.
Candidates should be studying in one of the following or a related engineering discipline:
- Electronics Engineering
- Communication Engineering
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Radio Engineering
- Information Technology
- Computer Engineering / Computer-related discipline
- Electrical Engineering with majors in Electronics, Communications or Computers
- Other related disciplines accepted by NCCS

Category II applicants should satisfy one of the following:
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in an eligible Electronics / Communication / Telecom / IT / Computer / Electrical or related Engineering discipline with at least 60% marks.
- Completed Graduation and pursuing a Postgraduate / Master's Degree in an eligible Electronics, Communication, Telecom, Radio, IT, Computer, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with minimum 60% marks.

Students applying under Category I must obtain a recommendation from their current University / College / Institution.
The institution should also mention the period during October to December 2026 for which the student is permitted to attend the internship.
- The internship will be conducted offline at NCCS, Bengaluru.
- Interns must arrange their own laptop for internship work.
- NCCS will provide workspace and workplace internet facilities as considered necessary.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending a personal interview.
- Interns must follow NCCS confidentiality and security rules.
- A final report / paper on the internship work must be submitted.
- Monthly remuneration is subject to satisfactory progress of work.
