Qualification
- Technical High School Leaving Certificate in the appropriate trade; or
- SSLC or an equivalent qualification together with a National Trade Certificate in the appropriate trade; or
- SSLC or equivalent with Kerala Government Certificate in Engineering in the appropriate trade; or
- SSLC or equivalent with Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate in the appropriate trade.
- Candidates claiming an equivalent qualification must produce the applicable Government Order or equivalency certificate.
Experience
The recruitment notification did not prescribe previous professional experience as an essential qualification.

No application fee was required for the original recruitment. Candidates requesting a printout of their online answer sheet must pay ₹335 through the e-payment facility in their One Time Registration profile.
