Tenure of Engagement
- The Consultant Grade-II will be engaged on contract basis.
- The initial engagement period will be for 2 years.
- The engagement may be extended by 1 more year based on performance and requirement.
- Extension beyond the normal period may be considered only in exceptional circumstances as per approval.
- No extension will be given after the age of 65 years.
Job Description
- Analyse issues related to sudden increase in imports.
- Analyse heavy industry-related data shared by the Department of Commerce.
- Provide inputs on trade agreements with countries such as UK, Canada and ASEAN.
- Analyse tariff and non-tariff barriers, trade policies and WTO-related matters.
- Provide inputs on Rules of Origin, import-export data and trade diversification.
- Handle matters related to Foreign Direct Investment.
- Assist IC Division and Project Development Cell in matters related to heavy engineering equipment, machinery, machine tools and automobile sector.
Selection Process
Candidates who fulfil the required qualification and experience conditions will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview through online or offline mode.
Medical Fitness
Before appointment as Consultant Grade-II, the selected candidate will have to submit a good health certificate from a recognized medical practitioner.
