Laboratory Assistant Level 4 of 7th CPC – Entry Scale

PEM/PTI-cum-Matron ₹71,840 per month

Band Master / Music Teacher ₹46,720 per month

Ward Boy ₹28,800 per month

Laboratory Assistant 21 to 35 years as on 1 October 2026

PEM/PTI-cum-Matron 18 to 50 years as on 1 October 2026

Band Master / Music Teacher 18 to 50 years as on 1 October 2026

Educational Qualification

Laboratory Assistant (Biology) Intermediate Science or equivalent with Biology subject. Higher qualification in Biology and good communication skills are desirable.

PEM/PTI-cum-Matron Four-year integrated Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education / Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports with at least 50% marks, or Graduation with B.P.Ed from an NCTE recognised institution as prescribed in the notification.

Band Master Potential Band Master / Band Major / Drum Major Course at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi, or equivalent Naval / Air Force course.

Music Teacher Higher Secondary with a degree or diploma in Music from a recognised institution.

Ward Boy Intermediate or equivalent and ability to converse in English.

Contractual Posts ₹300 – Non-refundable

Fee must be paid through RTGS / NEFT / Digital mode only to Principal, Sainik School Ambikapur. Applications without the prescribed fee will be rejected.

Laboratory Assistant / PEM-PTI-cum-Matron / Band Master-Music Teacher Written Test – 50% weightage
Class Demonstration – 30%
Interview – 15%
Higher Qualification & Experience – 5%

Ward Boy Written Test – 50 Marks followed by Skill / Proficiency Test – 50 Marks.

Contract Period

The contractual appointment for PEM/PTI-cum-Matron, Band Master/Music Teacher and Ward Boy will initially be for 11 months. It may be extended up to a maximum of three years depending on performance and school requirements.

Regular Post Benefits

The Laboratory Assistant regular post carries applicable benefits including Transport Allowance, LTC, NPS, subsidised schooling for up to two children, rent-free accommodation and medical allowance as per Sainik Schools Society rules.
