Educational Qualification

Post Name Required Qualification
Chauffeur – Driver Candidates must have passed HSLC or Class 10 from a recognised board and possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle driving licence issued by the competent authority.
Multi Tasking Staff – MTS Candidates must have passed Class 8 from a recognised institution. Candidates who have passed HSSLC, Class 12 or any higher qualification are not eligible to apply for the MTS post.
Important for MTS Applicants: Candidates must declare that they have passed Class 8 but have not passed HSSLC, Class 12 or any higher qualification. Concealing a higher qualification may result in cancellation of candidature.

Employment Exchange Registration

Applicants must possess a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number issued in Assam. Candidates without a valid Assam Employment Exchange registration should not submit the application.

Age Limit

The candidate must have completed at least 18 years of age. Age will be calculated as on 30 July 2026.

Chauffeur Selection Process

Stage 1: Screening Test

The screening test will be an objective-type examination conducted on an OMR sheet for a total of 50 marks.

Duration: One hour. Candidates must obtain at least 5 out of 10 marks in the Assamese-language section. Assamese marks are qualifying and will not be counted for preparation of the merit list.

Stage 2: Driving Test

Candidates shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 from the screening test will be called for the driving test.

Stage 3: Interview / Viva-Voce

Candidates shortlisted in a ratio of 1:3 from the driving test will be called for the interview, viva-voce and document verification. The interview carries 20 marks, and candidates must obtain at least 12 marks.

The final Chauffeur merit list will be prepared using the combined marks obtained in the driving test and viva-voce.

MTS Selection Process

Stage 1: Written Examination

The MTS written examination will be an OMR-based objective test carrying a total of 70 marks.

Duration: One hour and 30 minutes. The Assamese section is qualifying in nature. Candidates must obtain at least 8 out of 20 marks in Assamese.

Stage 2: Interview / Viva-Voce

Candidates shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 from the written examination will be called for the interview and viva-voce. The interview carries 20 marks, and candidates must obtain at least 12 marks.

The final MTS merit list will be prepared using the marks obtained in the written examination and viva-voce, excluding the qualifying Assamese-language marks.

  • Class 10 admit card or birth certificate for age proof.
  • Educational qualification certificate and marksheet.
  • Valid LMV driving licence for the Chauffeur post.
  • Valid Assam Employment Exchange Registration Number.

  • PwBD certificate, where applicable.
  • No Objection Certificate for candidates already working in government service.
  • Valid email address and active mobile number.
